I stayed at this hotel with my husband and my parents in September 2005 and I can say that it is a small and basic hotel, but it does offer good service, it is very clean (for me that is VERY important) and it is very well located. In the evening, the neighbourhood is interesting and there are plenty of restaurants and cafés and, therefore, it is not at all dangerous. You are right next to Rue Lafayette and the metro and the bus routes are very nearby. It is 10 minutes walk from the Opera and very near the centre. A great place to spend a few nights in Paris, and it is perfect for the price...
A TripAdvisor member, Salem, NH The room was enormous by European standards (I think that ours must have been one of the 2 or 3 largest rooms (I do not know about the others), breakfast was delicious, there was a metro station at the end of the street, the staff was kind and helped us as much as they could, despite the language barrier, and everything was perfectly clean.
